Audi has been careful to provide complete models for those who want luxury but do not want to spend too much money, S6 and S7 models 2013 are great.

While most luxury automakers take advantage intermediate revisions listed models, but offer less performance engines, there is a brand that you prefer to work more in a special design for small luxury sedans, we mean Audi S6 and S7 series.

The Audi S series correspond to a concept vehicle that sits between the beautiful classic designs "A" and the powerful sports "RS". Thus the series "S" of the Germans try to merge successfully improved suspension (sport), technology, luxury and abroad as we rarely see in other models.

As we have already advanced, not many manufacturers are given the job of making luxury models for intermediate classes of vehicles, hence our concern to highlight the work that has been achieved with Audi S6 and S7 models, which work perfectly and have an excellent price.

Talk of the Audi S6 and S7

Both Audi models are very similar, and that both are due to the problems of those who have money but do not want to spend too much on a luxury vehicle. Thus, while the Audi S6 is underestimated compared to S7 (upper numbering series), the difference basically boils down to a change in body and a taste for wide hips. In short, the Audi S7 is sportier than the more traditional taste S6.

Both vehicles use the 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo 420 horsepower and 406 pounds of torque (available between 1,400 and 5,300 rpm). The editions that precede these models have an engine of 310 horsepower and 325 pounds of torque (V6). The transmission system chosen for Audi S6 and S7 is a seven-speed (automatic) and enjoys double clutch. According to the claims of the manufacturer, this vehicle is capable of reaching 60 mph in 4.5 seconds.

Beyond the power of the Germans who have these fireballs midrange fuel management is quite respectable, as delivered 17mpg city and 26mpg on highway. One of the technologies that Audi has used to improve the consumer is that disables the cylinders when conditions permit, going from a V8 to a 2.0 liter V4. While the basic structure of the Audi S6 and S7 is steel, 20% of it is aluminum, including suspension and body panels.
The weight of the Audi S6 is approximately 4250 pounds, while the S7 weighs approximately 100 pounds.

The interior of the Audi S6 and S7

As expected, Audi does not skimp on materials to decorate the interior of what should be considered a luxury car with clear notes of sportsmanship in the seats, panels, pedals, among other things. One thing that catches the eye is the inclusion of a unique piece that runs along the top of the dashboard made of carbon fiber, which honestly looks handmade and raises the value of the vehicle.

Thanks to the hatchback body, the Audi S7 offers more storage space than the Audi S6. Both models feature technology that includes Internet Connect System and the use of Google Earth for navigation; include Audi Drive Select. The latter system allows the driver to make several adjustments to the general configuration of the vehicle, including the level of throttle response, steering effort and calibration changes according to three pre-set modes. Drive Select also allows us to control the air suspension and adaptive damping system (both exclusive S model).

As you would imagine, the differences in the management of both vehicles are tiny, so you have to raise the decision to have one or the other as a matter of price. The base price of the Audi S7 is $ 79.695, while the Audi S6 costs $ 72.795

The Audi S6 is more expensive than a BMW 550i xDrive and a Mercedes Benz E550 4Matic, while the Audi S7 obeys the CLS550 4Matic range Mercedes and BMW 550i xDrive Gran Coupe. The beauty of the models offered by Audi, face competition mentioned, is that they feel sportier and more attractive driving.

  1. I have been looking around for a while to buy a used Audi A4 or A6 (since I cannot afford a new one). I am quite obsessed by the German car for its build quality and rich interior and hope it is a worthy successor to the KIA I have been driving till now. The S6 and S7 are indeed much ahead of their competition as shown here and maybe I could get a earlier generation from the likes of http://www.automotix.net/bargain_cars.html
