The Audi SQ5 engine of 342 hp 3.0 TSI will be in the Detroit Motor Show 2013
If you remember, last summer was Audi introduced its first model 'S' powered by a diesel 3.0 liter twin-turbo V6 TDI of 301 hp and maximum torque of 650 Nm. At the time, the Ingolstadt brand said that the diesel engine would only be offered in Europe. However, he has apparently changed his mind.
At the Detroit Motor Show 2013 that will take place this month of January, the brand displays an Audi SQ5 with a supercharged gasoline. According to Audi said at the time, the SQ5 was developed especially for the following markets: United States, Canada, China, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Ukraine.
Come on, that SQ5 Audi gasoline engine will not be marketed in Europe. Logical, because it would be a self-contradiction of the German mark. This is a new 3.0-liter V6 supercharged with two rotors that spin at over 20,000 rpm and generates an output of 342 hp. Its torque stands at 470 Nm.
This engine is coupled to a Tiptronic eight-speed and full traction to all four wheels. As for its specifications, Audi says the SQ5 is capable of reaching 100 km / h in 5.3 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 250 km / h. Upon his authorized consumption, will be 8.5 liters per 100 kilometers. Furthermore, CO2 emissions are marked in the 199 g / km.
The suspension has been modified and installed a new alloy wheels of 20 inches in size that fit tires of 255/45 respectively. Optionally Audi offers optional dynamic steering ratio steplessly variable.
Aesthetically model remains as it is except for the details mentioned above. For now the price has not been announced (we'll have to keep waiting) even if the German brand has confirmed that the Audi SQ5 with new TSI petrol engine will be available in the U.S. from the third quarter 2013.
